Erica Heiman, MD, is an internal medicine specialist who also focuses on addiction medicine. She addresses a wide range of conditions and helps individuals manage substance use challenges with compassionate, patient-centered strategies. Dr. Heiman is passionate about ensuring high-quality care, both for her own patients and through systems-level advocacy.

As an assistant professor of internal medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Heiman’s research examines disparities in care, particularly as they affect individuals who use substances. She works to improve access to support services and reduce barriers to treatment.

Dr. Heiman received her medical training from the University of California, San Francisco, completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Davis, and pursued a fellowship in addiction medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
