Christopher Regan, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Biography
Christopher J. Regan, MD, is an interventional cardiologist who treats coronary artery and peripheral vascular disease. He makes it a priority to put patients at ease.
“Patients frequently are referred to me with a new diagnosis and they are usually anxious. I try to reassure them that now that we have identified the problem we can begin to treat it and improve their symptoms,” he says.
Dr. Regan was inspired to specialize in cardiology by its complexity of procedures and diversity of disease among patients. “Both realms require intense focus and demand a breadth of medical skills,” he says. “Cardiology presents the challenges of urgently dealing with sick patients and the rewards of helping patients return to a highly functional lifestyle. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Regan is participating in clinical trials involving coronary artery bioabsorbable stents and new devices for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease.
