Medulloblastoma

Definition

Medulloblastoma is a type of fast-growing, malignant brain tumor that originates in the lower back part of the brain, called the cerebellum. This part of the brain is responsible for coordinating movement and balance. It is most commonly found in children, but can also occur in adults. Medulloblastoma can spread to other parts of the central nervous system through the cerebrospinal fluid.
