Biography

Susan Levy, MD, treats children with disorders of the brain and nervous system, particularly epilepsy. “I specialize in epilepsy because it is a field where I can make an impact on patient outcome and quality of life,” she says.

As a doctor in the Yale Medicine Epilepsy & Seizure Center, Dr. Levy cares for patients in the epilepsy monitoring unit at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and in private practice in Guilford. She has special interests in developmental delay in patients with epilepsy and in electroencephalography (EEG), a test that records electrical activity of the brain. She supports families from diagnosis through what can often be a difficult life-altering course of disease for everyone.

Connecticut Magazine has included Dr. Levy in its annual list of the state’s Top Doctors. She is a clinical professor of pediatrics and of neurology at Yale School of Medicine.
