Michael Baumgaertner, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale Medicine. By increasing awareness of this measurement, his research aims to reduce the chances of complications and improve the overall success of hip fracture surgeries.
