Biography
Linda Maerz, MD, is a general surgeon specializing in trauma and surgical critical care. She is dedicated to treating complex surgical conditions, with a particular focus on re-operative surgery, sepsis, resuscitation, and shock.
As an associate professor of surgery and anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Maerz’s research interests include quality improvement in the surgical intensive care unit, clinical outcomes in sepsis, and glycemic control in critically ill patients, aiming to enhance patient recovery and outcomes. She also serves as program director for the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowships.
Dr. Maerz earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her residency in general surgery at Oregon Health & Science University and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Yale School of Medicine.
