Ada Fenick, MD
Biography
Ada M. Fenick, MD, is a pediatrician who chose her specialty because she “loves kids,”she says. “I am very interested in the unique developmental aspects of kids and want to help them start their lives off as healthy as possible,” she says.
As a clinician, she is committed to serving economically disadvantaged patients, who make up most of her practice. She begins each doctor-patient relationship by asking the patient to tell her about his or her greatest concern. “I want to help them understand the diagnosis and the treatment paths available to them as well as possible,” she says.
Dr. Fenick is especially concerned about the impact of toxic stress, defined as prolonged physical and emotional adversity, on children’s growth and development. She also researches breastfeeding, obesity and other topics that have an important impact on the health of growing children.
