Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by intellectual disability, growth hormone deficiency, low muscle tone, and an insatiable appetite, which can lead to life-threatening obesity if not managed properly. It is caused by the loss of function of specific genes on chromosome 15.
