Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma

Definition

Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a rare and aggressive type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that originates in mature T-cells, a type of white blood cell responsible for immune responses. PTCL affects the lymphatic system and can involve lymph nodes, spleen, liver, skin, and other organs. There are several subtypes of PTCL, each with distinct clinical features and prognosis.
