Sharon Stoll, DO

Sharon Stoll, DO, MS, is a neurologist who specializes in multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroimmunology, a field that combines neuroscience and the study of the immune system. She urges new patients to ask her any questions they may have about MS, knowing that the sheer volume of available information can be difficult to navigate.

“New and more effective treatments are coming out every few months that will change the way we think about the disease,” she says. “There’s a lot of hope in the field that didn’t exist before.”

Dr. Stoll is currently involved in a clinical trial that seeks to better understand the impact of the Western high salt diet on the immune system in patients with MS. In addition, she plans to enroll patients in a clinical trial for a very effective, FDA-approved MS treatment called Ocrelizumab that she hopes will eventually be available to all patients.
