Ingredients: 
  • 1 ¾ C low fat milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 C old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar, optional
Directions: 
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the milk and salt and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, stir in the oats and apple and cook, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  • Just before servings, sprinkle with brown sugar
