Septate Uterus

Definition

A septate uterus is a congenital uterine anomaly characterized by a longitudinal partition or septum within the uterine cavity, dividing it into two separate sections. This condition can result from incomplete resorption of the paramesonephric ducts during embryonic development and may lead to complications such as infertility, recurrent miscarriages, or preterm labor.
