Pulmonary (lung) Metastases

Definition

Pulmonary metastases are secondary malignant growths that originate from a primary cancer site and spread to the lungs. These metastatic tumors compromise lung function and can lead to respiratory symptoms. The presence of pulmonary metastases often indicates advanced-stage cancer and requires aggressive treatment.
