Definition

Pulmonary hypertension is a medical condition characterized by abnormally high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs, which can lead to the narrowing of pulmonary arteries, increased resistance to blood flow, and ultimately, right-sided heart failure. It can result from various causes, including lung disease, heart disease, blood clots, and certain medications.
