A liver tumor is an abnormal growth of cells within the liver, which can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Liver tumors can originate in the liver (primary liver tumors) or spread to the liver from other parts of the body (secondary liver tumors). The most common primary liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma.
