Definition

Juvenile myasthenia gravis is a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the neuromuscular junction in children and adolescents, causing muscle weakness and fatigue. The condition occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks acetylcholine receptors, disrupting communication between nerves and muscles.
