HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

Definition

HER2-positive breast cancer is a subtype of breast cancer characterized by the overexpression of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) protein on the surface of cancer cells. This overexpression promotes the growth and division of cancer cells, making HER2-positive breast cancers more aggressive and fast-growing compared to other subtypes.
