Frontotemporal dementia is a progressive neurological disorder characterized by the degeneration of the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, leading to changes in personality, behavior, and language abilities. It is a common cause of early-onset dementia and can manifest in various subtypes, including behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia, semantic variant primary progressive aphasia, and nonfluent variant primary progressive aphasia.
