Cystoscopy is a diagnostic procedure that involves the insertion of a thin, flexible tube called a cystoscope into the urethra and up into the bladder. This allows the doctor to visually examine the inside of the bladder and urethra for any abnormalities, such as tumors, stones, or inflammation.
