Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak (CSF) Headache

Definition

A cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak headache is a condition characterized by a persistent headache resulting from the leakage of cerebrospinal fluid, which surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord. The leak can occur due to trauma, surgery, or spontaneously without an identifiable cause, leading to a decrease in CSF pressure and subsequent headache.
