Adrenal Disorders

Definition

Adrenal disorders are a group of conditions that affect the adrenal glands, which are small glands located on top of each kidney. These glands produce hormones, such as cortisol and aldosterone, that help regulate essential body functions like blood pressure, metabolism, and stress response. Adrenal disorders can result from various causes, including hormonal imbalances, tumors, genetic mutations, or autoimmune diseases.
